WW3: Zombie Apocalypse
This game hasn’t hit production (yet) but was mostly an exercise in writing a concept document and a design document. WW3: Zombie Apocalypse is an action-oriented RPG similar to the feel of Diablo, Borderlands, and Torch Light. You choose 1 of 4 historical (some historically fictional) figures who have been chosen to time travel to the future to take on Hitler’s zombie army. You can play as Abraham Lincoln, Joan of Arc, Robin Hood, and Nikola Tesla. The full summary and background can be found in the concept and design documents.

Description: This game is my first ever attempt at creating a game and it’s a rather simple concept with some really annoying music. There are 2 “good” clowns and a whole bunch of “bad” clowns. Click (punch) on the good clowns for points and don’t click on the bad clowns because they will end the game. Points are tracked and a high score is given. Each time you punch a good clown he will speed up – making them harder to punch.

Description: 1945 is a remake of the popular series. This game was really a lot of fun to make. Your plane has 3 lives and a certain amount of health. The game starts off with you flying (using the arrow keys) and shooting other planes coming down (using the space bar). As you progress in points you can unlock more firepower (double and triple shots). As the game progresses more and more planes will appear – and planes with new abilities will appear (such as planes that shoot bullets at you or even come from the bottom). Once you use up your lives if you score one of the high scores you can store it.

Description: This is a pretty basic platformer game I made for an example. I’m definitely looking into expanding this a bit more and adding additional levels and challenges as well as bosses that just don’t run fast back and forth but have different abilities. This was mostly my foray into building maps and is what I mostly focused on in this example.
You have 3 lives to get through 3 levels and complete the game. Try to achieve the high score by collecting mushrooms (10 points), Bonus Stars (50 points), killing monsters (50 points), and killing the end boss on level 3 (500 points). You will also gain points by finishing each level and finishing the game. You lose points each time you do.
Collect hearts to gain extra lives.
Use [Left] and [Right] to move on the platforms.
Use [Up] to jump.
Use [Up] and [Down] when on vines.
Use [Space] to fire a bullet if you have a gun.
Use [Z] to give you a speed boost to the RIGHT. (no speed boost for other directions)
